🎯 Pool pipe leak detection in Matawan, NJ💧 Find the Leak—Without Replacing the Entire Line
An underground pool pipe leak does not always mean the entire plumbing line needs to be replaced.
Pool Patcher® uses professional pressure testing, electronic listening equipment, and underground pipe-locating technology to narrow the problem down to a precise area. In many cases, we can mark the leak location within a small section of the property—making a localized repair possible instead of digging up the entire yard, patio, or pool deck.
✅ Accurate underground leak locating
✅ Smaller, targeted repair areas
✅ Less unnecessary digging
✅ Lower restoration and repair costs
✅ No guessing where the pipe is leaking
Before agreeing to replace an entire pool line, have the leak properly located first. The closer we pinpoint it, the smaller and more efficient the repair can be.

A pool in Lanoka Harbor, NJ was still leaking after a diver had already visited the property.
The diver patched something, told the homeowner there were no more leaks, and said losing about 1/4 inch of water per day was normal.
But the homeowner wasn’t convinced.
The pool had opened several feet low after the winter, and something still didn’t feel right. So they called Pool Patcher® to find the real hidden cause.
We arrived with our full pool leak detection setup and got to work using the tools, testing methods, and experience we are known for.
The result?
We located well over 40+ holes in the liner — even after the homeowner was told there were no more holes.
These images are an example of the microscopic holes Pool Patcher® is able to locate. Some of these holes are so small that they can be missed by divers, pool companies, and basic visual inspections. But even tiny liner holes can still cause real water loss over time.
This is exactly why Pool Patcher® is known for finding the small, hard-to-see leaks that others miss. Some liner holes hide in wrinkles, corners, steps, seams, faded liner areas, or worn spots.
If your pool keeps leaking after someone already “checked it,” don’t keep guessing.
Don’t guess — test.

Point Pleasant, Ocean County NJ Pool Leak Detection
This Point Pleasant, New Jersey pool had a clear problem while the skimmer line was running.
The customer was experiencing a lot of air bubbles inside the pump, which can often point to a suction-side issue. Instead of guessing or replacing unnecessary plumbing, Pool Patcher® performed professional pool leak detection and pressure testing to narrow down the problem.
After testing the line, we were able to pinpoint the exact location of the fault within the underground pipe. Then we marked it out precisely so the repair area could stay as small as possible.
That is the goal with proper pool leak detection: find the problem accurately, reduce unnecessary digging, and help get the pool back to its original condition faster.
Now this Point Pleasant pool is marked, ready for repair, and on its way back to normal.

Shrewsbury, Monmouth County NJ Pool Leak Detection
A pool in Shrewsbury, New Jersey was losing about ½ inch of water per day, and the homeowner needed answers before the problem got worse.
After performing a professional pool leak detection, Pool Patcher® found the issue was coming from bad air throttles inside the pool stairs. These small areas can be easy to overlook, but they can cause steady water loss day after day.
This is exactly why guessing does not work with pool leaks. A leak may look like evaporation, splash-out, or a plumbing problem, but the real issue can be hidden in the pool structure, stairs, fittings, liner, or underground plumbing.
Pool Patcher® uses advanced electronic leak detection equipment to locate the source accurately and help homeowners avoid unnecessary digging, wasted water, and costly guesswork.

Red Bank, Monmouth County NJ Pool Leak Detection
This Red Bank pool was losing a ton of water while the pool system was running.
That is usually a strong sign that the leak may be in the underground plumbing, especially when water loss increases with pressure. Instead of guessing, Pool Patcher® performed a professional pool pressure test to narrow down the problem.
Once the failing line was confirmed, we used our underground pipe leak locating equipment to pinpoint the exact area of the break. The leak was marked out for repair at approximately 1.5 foot deep, giving the repair contractor a precise spot to open instead of digging up unnecessary areas.
This is why proper pool leak detection matters. A pool can lose serious water from one small underground pipe leak, and guessing can turn a small repair into a much bigger mess.
If your pool in Red Bank, Monmouth County, or the surrounding New Jersey area is losing water while running, don’t wait.

At Pool Patcher®, we use advanced electronic pool leak detection equipment to help locate these hard-to-find leaks without guessing. Even a small pinhole can lead to steady water loss, higher water bills, chemical imbalance, and unnecessary frustration.

🎯 Matawan, NJ Pool Leak Repair: Collapsed Skimmer Flex Line Causing No Flow
A homeowner in Matawan, NJ had a serious skimmer no-flow situation, and Pool Patcher® was called in to locate the exact underground problem before their repair guy started digging.
Using our pool leak detection and underground pipe locating equipment, we pinpointed the issue: a collapsed flex line caused by chlorine damage.
This can happen when chlorine tablets sit directly in the skimmer. Over time, highly concentrated chlorine water can weaken flexible pool plumbing, especially older underground flex lines. Eventually, the pipe can collapse, blocking water flow from the skimmer.
Instead of guessing, cutting up the wrong area, or replacing more plumbing than needed, Pool Patcher® marked the exact problem spot so the repair could be handled properly.
Pool Patcher® provides professional pool leak repair, pool leak detection, skimmer line testing, pressure testing, and underground pipe locating throughout Matawan, Monmouth County, Ocean County, Middlesex County, and Mercer County, NJ.
We also help homeowners in nearby areas like Aberdeen, Marlboro, Freehold, Manalapan, Old Bridge, Brick, Toms River, Hamilton, and Princeton.

💦 Another jam-packed day of 5 pool leak detections across Central New Jersey!
We started in Pine Beach, NJ, where a liner pool lost water over the winter. After testing, we found that a pool robot had picked up a foreign screw and dragged it across the bottom, creating a hole in the liner.
From there, we headed north to Brick Township, NJ, where a pool was losing 2 inches of water. After pressure testing, we precisely located and marked a bad spa pipe so it is ready for repair.
Next, we went west to Jackson, NJ, for a pool losing 6 inches of water overnight. This one had a bad step jet leak and a bad shallow-end skimmer line. Both broken pipes were accurately located and marked out.
Then we handled another Jackson pool losing 6 inches overnight from a liner hole. We dove right in and patched the hole on the bottom of the liner pool.
We finished the day in Point Pleasant, NJ, where the pool was losing multiple inches per day. After pressure testing the plumbing, we precisely located the leaking pipe next to the stairs and marked it for repairs.
From Pine Beach to Brick, Jackson, and Point Pleasant, Pool Patcher® keeps finding the leaks that cause major water loss.

🚐💧 Pool Leak Detection from one side of New Jersey to the other…
Today was another full day of performance accurate Pool Leak detection and chasing down hidden pool leaks and helping homeowners get their pools back under control before summer kicks into high gear.
We started the morning far west in Ewing, New Jersey, where we diagnosed an underground pipe leak within a swimming pool plumbing system. After pressure testing and isolating the issue, the leak turned out to be a failing wall jet assembly. We were successfully able to stop the water loss from that jet while on site and confirm the repair by re-pressure testing the line.
From there, we made the long drive far east to Lavallette, New Jersey for two separate fiberglass pool leak detection appointments. The first fiberglass pool had an underground plumbing leak that was precisely located approximately 16 inches below the surface. Shortly after, we headed a few minutes down the road to another fiberglass pool in Lavallette where we successfully pinpointed another underground pipe leak hidden beneath concrete. The exact leak location was marked out and prepared for repair, helping avoid unnecessary demolition and guesswork.
We wrapped up the day in Sea Girt, New Jersey locating an underground air leak connected to a skimmer line. Thankfully, we were able to stop the issue while on site so the homeowner can finally enjoy their pool this season without constantly worrying about water loss or air entering the system.
This season has already been extremely busy, most likely due to the rough winter New Jersey experienced this year. Freezing temperatures, shifting ground, aging plumbing, and winter expansion damage are already showing up across liner pools, fiberglass pools, gunite pools, and spas throughout Monmouth County, Ocean County, Mercer County, and Middlesex County.

Pool Leak Detection in East Brunswick, New Jersey reviels a liner leak within a pool.
A recent pool leak detection in East Brunswick, New Jersey revealed a dry rot crack that was causing water loss in the pool. Luckily, this one was repairable, and Pool Patcher® was able to patch it up before the problem turned into a much larger issue.

Pool Leak Detection in Manalapan, Nj
Another leak tracked down by Pool Patcher® 🔎💧
This homeowner in Manalapan, NJ noticed the pool was constantly losing water even after topping it off again and again. After performing a full electronic pool leak detection inspection, we traced the problem to a bad return jet inside the pool.
A leaking jet fitting can slowly drain thousands of gallons of water over time while also pulling air into the system and affecting circulation. Many homeowners mistake this for evaporation or a plumbing issue underground when the leak is actually right at the pool wall connection.
Pool Patcher® located the leak quickly and accurately so the homeowner could move forward with the proper repair instead of guessing or replacing unnecessary pipes.
