🎯 Matawan, NJ Pool Leak Repair: Collapsed Skimmer Flex Line Causing No Flow
A homeowner in Matawan, NJ had a serious skimmer no-flow situation, and Pool Patcher® was called in to locate the exact underground problem before their repair guy started digging.
Using our pool leak detection and underground pipe locating equipment, we pinpointed the issue: a collapsed flex line caused by chlorine damage.
This can happen when chlorine tablets sit directly in the skimmer. Over time, highly concentrated chlorine water can weaken flexible pool plumbing, especially older underground flex lines. Eventually, the pipe can collapse, blocking water flow from the skimmer.
Instead of guessing, cutting up the wrong area, or replacing more plumbing than needed, Pool Patcher® marked the exact problem spot so the repair could be handled properly.
Pool Patcher® provides professional pool leak repair, pool leak detection, skimmer line testing, pressure testing, and underground pipe locating throughout Matawan, Monmouth County, Ocean County, Middlesex County, and Mercer County, NJ.
We also help homeowners in nearby areas like Aberdeen, Marlboro, Freehold, Manalapan, Old Bridge, Brick, Toms River, Hamilton, and Princeton.
Don’t guess — test.

💦 Another jam-packed day of 5 pool leak detections across Central New Jersey!
We started in Pine Beach, NJ, where a liner pool lost water over the winter. After testing, we found that a pool robot had picked up a foreign screw and dragged it across the bottom, creating a hole in the liner.
From there, we headed north to Brick Township, NJ, where a pool was losing 2 inches of water. After pressure testing, we precisely located and marked a bad spa pipe so it is ready for repair.
Next, we went west to Jackson, NJ, for a pool losing 6 inches of water overnight. This one had a bad step jet leak and a bad shallow-end skimmer line. Both broken pipes were accurately located and marked out.
Then we handled another Jackson pool losing 6 inches overnight from a liner hole. We dove right in and patched the hole on the bottom of the liner pool.
We finished the day in Point Pleasant, NJ, where the pool was losing multiple inches per day. After pressure testing the plumbing, we precisely located the leaking pipe next to the stairs and marked it for repairs.
From Pine Beach to Brick, Jackson, and Point Pleasant, Pool Patcher® keeps finding the leaks that cause major water loss.
Pool losing water? Don’t guess — test.

🚐💧 Pool Leak Detection from one side of New Jersey to the other…
Today was another full day of performance accurate Pool Leak detection and chasing down hidden pool leaks and helping homeowners get their pools back under control before summer kicks into high gear.
We started the morning far west in Ewing, New Jersey, where we diagnosed an underground pipe leak within a swimming pool plumbing system. After pressure testing and isolating the issue, the leak turned out to be a failing wall jet assembly. We were successfully able to stop the water loss from that jet while on site and confirm the repair by re-pressure testing the line.
From there, we made the long drive far east to Lavallette, New Jersey for two separate fiberglass pool leak detection appointments. The first fiberglass pool had an underground plumbing leak that was precisely located approximately 16 inches below the surface. Shortly after, we headed a few minutes down the road to another fiberglass pool in Lavallette where we successfully pinpointed another underground pipe leak hidden beneath concrete. The exact leak location was marked out and prepared for repair, helping avoid unnecessary demolition and guesswork.
We wrapped up the day in Sea Girt, New Jersey locating an underground air leak connected to a skimmer line. Thankfully, we were able to stop the issue while on site so the homeowner can finally enjoy their pool this season without constantly worrying about water loss or air entering the system.
This season has already been extremely busy, most likely due to the rough winter New Jersey experienced this year. Freezing temperatures, shifting ground, aging plumbing, and winter expansion damage are already showing up across liner pools, fiberglass pools, gunite pools, and spas throughout Monmouth County, Ocean County, Mercer County, and Middlesex County.

🚨 Another Busy Full Day of Pool Leak Detection Across Ocean County, NJ 🚨
Today started in Brick, New Jersey where Pool Patcher® located a leak inside a vinyl liner pool caused by a hole within the liner itself. After electronic testing and inspection, we were able to pinpoint the issue before more water loss and damage occurred.
Next stop was Bayville, NJ for a professional pressure test on another liner pool. From there, we headed over to Toms River where a pressure test revealed a broken underground pipe connected to the skimmer line. Using advanced leak locating equipment, we were able to accurately pinpoint the underground break instead of guessing or recommending unnecessary pipe replacement.
We wrapped up the day back in Brick, NJ after locating another underground plumbing leak near the pool step area following pressure testing. From liner leaks to broken underground pipes, Pool Patcher® handles residential pool leak detection using advanced electronic equipment designed to locate leaks other companies often miss.

Pool Leak Detection in East Brunswick, New Jersey reviels a liner leak within a pool.
A recent pool leak detection in East Brunswick, New Jersey revealed a dry rot crack that was causing water loss in the pool. Luckily, this one was repairable, and Pool Patcher® was able to patch it up before the problem turned into a much larger issue.
Dry rot cracks can be tricky because they are not always obvious at first. However, once water starts escaping, the damage can spread and make the repair more difficult. That is why proper leak detection matters before guessing, draining, or replacing parts that may not be the real problem.
Pool Patcher® uses advanced electronic leak detection equipment to find leaks in vinyl liner pools, gunite pools, fiberglass pools, spas, skimmers, lights, plumbing lines, and return fittings.

🚨 POOL LEAK DETECTION IN TINTON FALLS, NJ reveals a large light leak.
This pool leak had been going on for YEARS. The homeowner kept adding water, trying different repairs, and hearing different opinions, yet the leak never stopped. After a full Pool Patcher® pool leak detection, we located the real issue… a MASSIVE crack inside the pool light niche hidden behind the light assembly. 💧

Pool Leak Detection in Manalapan, Nj
Another leak tracked down by Pool Patcher® 🔎💧
This homeowner in Manalapan, NJ noticed the pool was constantly losing water even after topping it off again and again. After performing a full electronic pool leak detection inspection, we traced the problem to a bad return jet inside the pool.
A leaking jet fitting can slowly drain thousands of gallons of water over time while also pulling air into the system and affecting circulation. Many homeowners mistake this for evaporation or a plumbing issue underground when the leak is actually right at the pool wall connection.
Pool Patcher® located the leak quickly and accurately so the homeowner could move forward with the proper repair instead of guessing or replacing unnecessary pipes.

🚨 Mercer County Pool Owners: Be Careful Who “Repairs” Your Pool Leak 🚨
We recently performed a pool leak detection in Mercer County, New Jersey after a homeowner kept losing water even though the leak was supposedly “fixed” before.
The problem? Someone used a two-part AB epoxy putty around the liner and fiberglass step area.
Here’s the truth 👇
❌ Two-part AB putty is NOT flexible
❌ Pools constantly expand, contract, and move
❌ Fiberglass steps and vinyl liners flex differently
❌ The putty eventually becomes brittle, decomposes, cracks, or falls off
When that happens, the leak comes right back… and sometimes even worse than before.
We see this mistake all the time. Many temporary patch products are not designed for long-term underwater movement around step seams and liner transitions.
At Pool Patcher®, we use professional leak detection equipment to pinpoint the REAL source of the leak instead of guessing and smearing products around the pool.

🚨 VINYL LINER PULLED OUT BY THE STEPS? 🚨
If your liner has pulled out around the step area, unfortunately this is one of the most difficult areas to repair properly on a vinyl liner pool.
While some companies may try to patch, glue, or temporarily force it back in place, these “quick fixes” often fail again shortly after due to constant tension, movement, water pressure, and liner shrinkage around the steps. 🎯
In many cases, the liner has already stretched, aged, or weakened beyond a reliable long-term repair.
At Pool Patcher®, we believe in being honest with homeowners instead of selling temporary band-aids that may fail weeks later and leave you right back where you started.

Main drain spa leak found in Morganville, NJ after a pool leak detection.
This spa in Morganville was losing water and nobody knew exactly where the problem was coming from. Pool Patcher® performed advanced electronic leak detection and pressure testing to isolate the issue.
After testing the plumbing system, we precisely pinpointed a break within the primary pump main drain line running from the spa. The damaged section was located directly behind the gunite shell, and we identified the exact problem area without unnecessary digging or destruction. 🎯
This is why accurate pool and spa leak detection matters. Guessing can lead to major demolition, wasted money, and repairs in the wrong area. Our technology-driven testing helps narrow down the leak before excavation begins.

Pool leak detection in Lincroft, New Jersey — this one needed more than a guess.
This inground liner pool was suffering from major water loss whenever the pump was running. Other companies were able to say, “Yes, it’s leaking,” but that still left the homeowner with the biggest question:
Where is the leak actually located?
That is where Pool Patcher® came in.
We performed a detailed pool leak detection inspection and were able to precisely locate the exact spot of the underground pipe break. The damaged section appears to be approximately 2 feet deep and spans about 2 feet long.
That matters because now the repair can be targeted to the problem area. Instead of replacing an entire underground line all the way back to the pump equipment, only the marked section needs to be opened and repaired.
That is the difference between guessing and testing.
Pool Patcher® specializes in residential pool leak detection, pool leak repair, pressure testing, and underground pool pipe locating throughout Monmouth County, Ocean County, Middlesex County, and Mercer County, New Jersey.
If your pool loses water when the pump is running, you may have a pressure-side plumbing leak underground.

A pool leaking for years in Hazlet, NJ. After a pool leak inspection, Pool Patcher® found what others could not.
This vinyl liner pool in Hazlet had been losing water for years, and nobody was able to locate the leak. The homeowner had been dealing with frustration, wasted water, and unanswered questions season after season.
Once Pool Patcher® arrived, we performed a detailed pool leak detection inspection and carefully checked the liner for hidden problem areas. Not every liner leak is obvious. Some leaks are small, tucked into seams, corners, steps, fittings, or areas that can easily be missed without the right process.
After testing the pool properly, we located the issue and got it patched up. No guessing. No unnecessary digging. No replacing things just to “see what happens.”
Pool Patcher® specializes in residential pool leak detection, pool leak repair, pressure testing, and underground pool pipe locating throughout Monmouth County, Ocean County, Middlesex County, and Mercer County, New Jersey.
If your pool keeps losing water and nobody can find the leak, do not keep guessing.

Pool leak detection in howell township, NJ (Monmouth county)
Not all pool light leaks are the same.
Today in Howell, NJ, Pool Patcher® performed a detailed pool leak detection on a swimming pool where the leak was connected to the light area. However, one important thing homeowners should know is that not every light leak is located directly in the center of the pool light.
Sometimes the leak is around the light niche.
Sometimes it is behind the light.
Sometimes it is where the conduit connects.
Other times, the problem can be outside the obvious area and very easy to miss without proper testing.
That is why guessing can cost pool owners time, water, and money. At Pool Patcher®, we use professional leak detection methods to pinpoint the problem instead of assuming every light leak is the same.
If your pool is losing water in Howell, Monmouth County, Ocean County, Middlesex County, or Mercer County, don’t guess — test.

🎯 Pool leak detection and leak repair in point pleasant, Ocean county NJ
A fiberglass pool in Point Pleasant, New Jersey was losing a large amount of water within just a few hours. That kind of water loss is not normal, and guessing can quickly turn into wasted water, wasted chemicals, and unnecessary repairs.
Pool Patcher® came out to perform professional pool leak detection and inspect the pool properly. With the right testing process, we were able to track down the leak issue instead of guessing or replacing parts that were not the problem.
When a fiberglass pool drops water fast, the leak could be in the shell, fittings, plumbing, return lines, skimmer area, or another hidden location. That is why proper testing matters.
If your pool is losing water quickly in Point Pleasant, Ocean County, or nearby areas, don’t wait until the problem gets worse.

Gunite Pool & Spa Leak Located in Mercer County, New Jersey during a pool leak detection.
This gunite pool with a spa in Mercer County, NJ had been leaking for many years, and the homeowner needed real answers before spending money on major repairs.
Pool Patcher® performed a detailed pool leak detection and found broken return lines underground. Even better, we were able to personally mark out the exact damaged areas for repair.
That means the homeowner does not need to replace the full length of pipe.
This is why proper leak locating matters. Without the right testing and locating equipment, many pool owners are told to replace entire plumbing runs. However, when the leak is pinpointed correctly, the repair can often be much more targeted.
A leaking gunite pool or spa can hide problems in several places, including return lines, spa plumbing, underground pipes, fittings, lights, and structure cracks. That is why guessing can get expensive fast.
At Pool Patcher®, we don’t just say a line is bad. We locate the problem, mark the area, and give the homeowner clear information for the next step.
If your pool or spa in Mercer County, Monmouth County, Ocean County, or Middlesex County has been leaking, don’t keep guessing.

Full Pool Leak Detection in Mercer County, New Jersey
This vinyl liner pool in Mercer County, NJ needed a full pool leak detection because the homeowner was losing water and needed real answers.
Pool Patcher® performed a complete inspection, including pressure testing the plumbing lines and checking the inside of the pool for any liner leaks, fitting leaks, stair leaks, or hidden problem areas.
During the inspection, we found a bad step jet within the stairs. We also located an issue with the Aqua Genie area, where the leak was making its way underneath the concrete.
This is exactly why a full diagnostic inspection matters.
A pool leak is not always just one simple hole in the liner. Sometimes the problem is hidden around steps, fittings, returns, skimmers, Aqua Genie systems, or underground plumbing. If those areas are not tested properly, the real leak can easily be missed.
At Pool Patcher®, we don’t guess. We test, inspect, and pinpoint the source so the homeowner knows what needs to be fixed.
If your liner pool in Mercer County, Monmouth County, Ocean County, or Middlesex County is losing water, call Pool Patcher® before replacing parts or guessing at repairs.

Marlboro, NJ Pool Skimmer Line Diagnosis and leak detection.
A pool in Marlboro, New Jersey was experiencing nearly an 80% loss of flow through the skimmer.
That is a major problem because poor skimmer flow can affect circulation, filtration, and overall pool performance. Instead of guessing or replacing the entire line, Pool Patcher® performed a proper diagnostic inspection to find the exact problem area.
We were able to locate the damaged section of underground skimmer pipe and mark the exact portion that needs to be changed from point X to point X.
Even better, we determined the pipe was exactly 1 foot 6 inches deep.
That means the homeowner now has a clear repair plan without unnecessary digging, guessing, or replacing more pipe than needed.
This is why full pool leak detection and pipe locating matters. A pressure test alone may tell you there is a problem, but precise locating tells you where the problem is.
Don’t Guess — Test.

Marlboro, NJ Pool Leak Detection Saves the Summer
Another liner pool leak found and repaired in Marlboro, New Jersey.
During this pool leak detection, Pool Patcher® found two holes in the vinyl liner. One was only about the size of a pinhole and very hard to see. That type of tiny liner leak can easily be missed without a careful inspection and the right leak detection tools.
The second hole was approximately a quarter inch long and was also causing water loss.
Both liner holes were repaired, and this Marlboro pool is now ready for a fun summer without the stress of losing water every day.
Small liner leaks can create big headaches if they are missed. That is why a proper pool leak detection matters before guessing, replacing parts, or wasting water.

Custom pool features look great, but they can also make pool leak detection harder.
This pool had a rock waterfall, slide, and several built-in areas where water loss could easily hide and make it hard to access different areas.
Pool Patcher® inspects the structure, check around the feature areas, and uses professional pool leak detection methods to narrow down the source instead of guessing.
A small leak around a slide, light, return, fitting, step, or water feature can waste a surprising amount of water every day. That is why a full inspection matters.

Pool Patcher® recently completed a leak detection on a vinyl liner pool in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, where the homeowner was losing about 1/2 inch of water per day.
At first, that may not sound like much. However, over time, that steady water loss can add up fast. It can waste water, affect chemicals, stress the pool system, and lead to bigger problems if the leak is ignored.
After testing the pool, we located a small hole in the liner that was causing the issue. This is exactly why proper pool leak detection matters. Guessing can cost homeowners time and money, while a focused diagnostic gives clear answers.
If your pool keeps dropping water, do not assume it is normal evaporation. A liner hole, light leak, skimmer issue, return leak, or underground pipe problem could be the cause.

Pressure testing a pool in bayville, Nj before a liner change is one of the smartest things a homeowner can do.
Today in Bayville, New Jersey, Pool Patcher® performed pool pressure testing on a pool that was opened halfway before a new liner installation. The goal was simple: check the underground plumbing lines before the liner was changed so there were no hidden surprises afterward.
A new liner can make a pool look brand new, but it does not fix leaking pipes, bad fittings, or underground plumbing problems. If a pressure leak is hiding below the patio or underground, the pool can still lose water even after the liner is replaced.
That is why pressure testing before a liner change matters.
By testing the pool lines first, the homeowner gets answers before spending money on the new liner. If a leak is found, it can be addressed before the liner installation moves forward. If the lines pass, the homeowner can move ahead with more confidence.
Pool Patcher® provides professional pool pressure testing in Bayville, Ocean County, and surrounding New Jersey areas. We help homeowners avoid costly surprises by checking the plumbing before major pool work is completed.
Before you replace your liner, test the pool lines first.
