With a bit of hard work and the right equipment, you can put together your own swimming pool solar heater. This system uses 900 foot (274.3 m) of hoses, two pumps that are 12 volts DC, and three Harbor Freight solar panels to run the pumps. In the example built for the creation of this article, the water pumps through the hoses from pool temp 75 °F (24 °C) and goes back into the pool on sunny days 105 °F (41 °C).
